New Pilot Experience - 28th of November
Recap!
On Thursday night, 6-8PM, DJI store hosted their eighteenth New Pilot Experience across all stores. We had another solid turnout this week with plenty of first time drone owners and future drone owners.
The two hour course took pilots, with varying levels of experience, through some of the basics to the more intermediate skills. Some of the topics that were covered included pre/post flight checklists, photography/videography settings and CASA laws and regulations.
Furthermore, the workshop also had many questions asked and answered, boosting everyone's confidence when using the drone. We encourage people to ask as many questions as possible. Learning point — Internal Storage
One fantastic lifesaving thing the Mavic 2 Pro has is it's 8GB internal storage. This has save myself and many other drone pilots a massive headache and a sinking heart. The micro sd cards that the Mavic 2 uses are incredibly small and super easy to drop and loose when travelling or even at home. We've all had those days where we were in a rush and just completely forgot to take the SD card with you or load in your SD. It's a common thing to forget. When NASA sent a gopro to space, they accidentally forgot to load an SD card into the camera and boy were they disappointed!
The Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom solves this issue with its built in internal storage. This means you can save all your photos and videos to the internal storage in the event you forget OR fill up your SD card!
To get the footage off your internal storage, all you need to do is simply turn your drone on and plug your drone into your computer and the internal storage will act as an USB stick!
